Brown Oak fountain pen

Wooden fountain pen handmade in Brown Oak.

This is a beautiful handmade quality fountain pen. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.

The pen is made of Brown oak with gun metal coloured fittings. Brown Oak takes its colour from a fungus, Fistulina hepatica, which attacks the roots of the tree, causing the wood to assume a chocolate brown hue which often appears as streaks rising up from the base of the tree. The decaying effects of the fungus do not persist after the wood has been dried.

It features a medium nib. The pen accepts small 'International' ink cartridges (one is included), or a refillable ink reservoir also included. It will be shipped in a recyclable black card box as pictured. The pen shipped will not be the one pictured. As each piece of wood is naturally different the grain will vary slightly.

Leather fountain pen case for a single pen.

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
