Saltram House wood

Saltram House Plymouth

Click now for a collection of pens made with wood sourced from Saltram House Plymouth, Devon.

These include Oak, Hawthorne, Yew and Sycamore to name but a few.

A stunning place to visit on the edge of Plymouth. Used by many families over generations for relaxing with children or taking the dog for a walk in the amazing parkland. Saltram house has many iconic trees including a multi stemmed Sycamore tree in the car park area. This tree has been played on by many generations of children. I have wood from one on the stems that had to be removed a few years ago. As Saltram house and this tree hold so many cherished memories, a pen from this tree is truly a way of keeping those memories close.

Saltram house was home to the Parker Family from 1743. A former mansion was remodelled to reflect the family's prominent position. The house overlooks the river Plym and is set in a rolling landscape park. The house is now cared for by the National  Trust.
