Stourhead Yew
Quality handmade wooden ballpoint twist pen handmade in Yew wood from National trust property, Stourhead. The pen features Gunmetal plated fittings which perfectly compliment the wood.
This is a beautiful handmade quality pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
Each pen will vary from the one shown in the photographs as no two pieces of wood are the same. You will not receive the the pen pictured.
When Stourhead first opened in the 1740s, a magazine described it as ‘a living work of art’. The world-famous landscape garden has at its centrepiece a magnificent lake reflecting classical temples, mystical grottoes, and rare and exotic trees.
The pen accepts standard cross® type refills which are widely available. It will be shipped in the case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
