Fountain pen handmade in Cork Oak wood from Killerton finished with gunmetal coloured fittings.
This is a beautiful quality handmade fountain pen. As the wood is very spalted I have had to stabilized it with resin under vacuum to ensure it does not break down over time. This provides strength to the wood and ensures a long life without detracting from the amazing character nature provided. Please note each pen will be different as no two pieces of wood are quite the same. The pen in the picture is not the one you will receive.
The pen features a medium nib and is approximately 130mm long and 15mm at the widest part including the cap. The pen is postable(the cap can be attached to the end while in use). The pen uses standard international ink cartridges(one included) or and ink convertor(included) to allow bottled ink to be used.
The pen will be shipped in the case as pictured. Along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance. Also included will be a small certificate giving details of the wood.
