Exeter University Yew pencil
This is a lovely quality handmade pencil. It features Yew that grew at Exeter university campus. The Yew succumbed to storm in December 2004 and had to be removed. The Yew is complemented by gold coloured fittings.
The pen is equipped with standard 0.7mm lead. It will be shipped in the recyclable card case pictured along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
Each pencil will vary as no two pieces of wood are quite the same.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
