Scotch Whisky cask Oak
Handmade wooden ballpoint gear shift pen handmade Oak taken from a whisky barrel. The pen features Gun metal coloured fittings which perfectly contrast with the wood. The pen features a gear selector type gate with lever which is used to extend the ink for writing. The pen is quite a chunky one weighing in at around 63 grams.
The pen accepts standard Parker® type refills which are widely available in a number of ink types. It will be shipped in the case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
This is a beautiful handmade pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
