The Oblique Pen holder was especially designed for Copperplate writing. The oblique holder helps the nib point in the right direction for Copperplate writing.
I am now able to make a range of these oblique dip pens to suit a variety of nib size and styles. I will be starting to make more over the next few months. Don't hang around too long as they are proving to be very popular already and demand is climbing quickly. As normal for me the pens will be made of local woods or woods with a historic connection, or in a few cases local historic woods.
I have made a new set of pens, all are made with Teak removed from HMS Hermes during the dismantling work being carried out in India. HMS Hermes was in service with the Royal Navy from 1959 to 1984. Famously serving as the flagship during the Falklands war in 1982.
