I have been working on making custom pens on and off for the past couple of years. With all the events cancelled this year I have made use of the time to refine the skills need for this.
I am now starting to make custom pens that are of a standard I would be proud to sell. These will be limited in number as each one takes many hours of work to complete. I will be making them from various types of acrylics but also from woods with acrylic inserts to hold the threads, as the wood is not stable enough to add a thread that will last.
The only part of the pens purchased will be the nibs/ ink feed. I will be making pens suitable for Bock, Jowo and schmidt nibs.
Message me if you would like to be added to the growing waiting list for a truly custom pen, built to your specification out of the materials of your choice.
I have made a new set of pens, all are made with Teak removed from HMS Hermes during the dismantling work being carried out in India. HMS Hermes was in service with the Royal Navy from 1959 to 1984. Famously serving as the flagship during the Falklands war in 1982.
